American violinist and violin pedagogue.

Life

Barbara Barber received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in violin performance at Texas Tech University. She taught violin and violin pedagogy at Texas Tech University, Texas Christian University, and the University of Colorado in Boulder.[1]

Her teachers were Josephine McAndrew, Rosemary Malocsay, James Barber, Angel Reyes, Ruggiero Ricci and Sidney Harth and she studied violin pedagogy with Shinichi Suzuki, John Kendall and William Starr.[1]
