Josephine Trott

American violinist and violin teacher, born on 24 December, 1874 in Wilmington, Illinois, USA, died 2 March, 1950 in Denver, Colorado, USA. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Life

Born into a family of a physician, Stenson E. Trott, her mother Augusta J. Trott, looked after the household. [5][6]

Trott taught at Hull House Music School in Chicago [7], later in her life she adopted a daughter, Antonio Petti. In the 1920s she travelled twice to Europe, returned to the US in 1924 [8] and in 1930. [9] [10] She is buried at Riverside Cemetery.
